Assessment: Building a Schoolwide Assessment Plan - An Overview
Assessment is the process of collecting, reviewing, and using information to make educational decisions about student learning. Collecting and analyzing student assessment data is a major component of any Response to Intervention (RTI) framework including Project LIFT. Across time all Project LIFT schools will build these four major types of assessment into their own Schoolwide Assessment plans for literacy development.
This module presents an overview of the four major types of assessment used within most RTI frameworks and how they can work together to create a seamless relationship between assessment and instruction. This particular presentation is meant to be an overview only, and FSM personnel should begin by completing this presentation first, before moving on to other modules that focus specifically each assessment type.
